Danske Bank has slightly lowered its forecast for the economy due to exports once again being lower than what had been expected.
According to the bank's review, the Finnish GDP will grow 0.8 percent this year. The bank predicts an increase of 1.0 percentage points over the next year.
The forecast has fallen 0.3 percentage points from the previous report on the economy.
“This year private consumption and construction are expected to grow, while next year, exports and industrial investment are expected to rise. [Next year] the role of consumers is likely to remain in the background due to moderate wage increases,” said Danske Bank's chief economist Pasi Kuoppamäki in a statement.
