Uruguay president ends 3-day visit to Finland

President Sauli Niinistö on Wednesday held talks with his Uruguayan counterpart José Mujica in Helsinki on various bilateral and contemporary global issues, said a press release of the president’s office.
President José Mujica wrapped up his three-day visit to Finland on Wednesday.
The talks focused on relations between Finland and Uruguay, the economic situation in Europe and Latin America and the progress of the association agreement negotiations between the European Union and Mercosur.
The two heads of state also discussed international issues with the situation in Ukraine, Middle East and the global economic outlook taking the centre stage.
President Mujica also met Prime Minister Alexander Stubb.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Mujica visited the bio-product company UPM and held talks with its CEO Jussi Pesonen.
