The crisis in Ukraine and the struggle against terrorist organization ISIS were among topics discussed by Defence Minister Carl Haglund during his visit to a US Navy aircraft carrier over the weekend.
Haglund met with his US counterpart during the visit, as well as Swedish defense minister, Peter Hultqvist, and British defense minister, Michael Fallon.
"This was not a formal consultation but rather an exchange of information and ideas about all of this," Haglund said of his visit, on his return from London.
The conversation with the Swedish defense minister, according to Haglund, also touched on the defense cooperation and development between Finland and Sweden.
Visiting the US Navy aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt was part of the Finnish-US defense policy cooperation.
