Prime Minister Alexander Stubb has expressed his deep condolences following the massive earthquake that claimed more than two thousand lives in Nepal on Saturday, said an official press release on Sunday.
"The scale of destruction caused by the earthquake is becoming increasingly clear. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those who lost their lives both in Nepal and in its neighbouring countries. It is important that Finland also gets prepared to send emergency aid to Nepal," said the Prime Minister.
Stubb has expressed the condolences of the Government of Finland following the earthquake to the Vice President of Nepal, Parmanand Jha, the press release added.
