The National Police Commissioner Seppo Kolehmainen told news agency STT that the police will go through the message and assess whether there is need to initiate preliminary investigations in respect to some individuals.
“We are taking this very seriously and we will do everything to prevent possible violence. Threats of violence is highly reprehensible,” Kolehmainen said.

The National Police Board is also discussing with local police what kind of threat the ‘Soldiers of Odin’ members could pose in different areas and whether there is a need to follow up the group's street patrols through special measures.
National broadcaster Yle on Friday reported that the anti-immigrants group leadership incited its members to engage in violence through encrypted Facebook messages.
According to Yle, the group's attention almost exclusively focused on anarchists, leftists and oth-ers who profess tolerant attitude. The immigrants are also mentioned in the messages.
The leaders in their message plan violent and non-violent measures against different groups.
In one discussion which Yle got hold onto one of ‘Soldiers of Odin’ leaders’ issuing an instruction which urge its members to beat up those who lean to the left.
According to Yle, the group's Tampere clubhouse was ransacked by anarchists.
