The country’s truck drivers organisations announced to go for demonstration on Tuesday which may significantly disrupt traffic in the capital city of Helsinki, police said.
The police recommend the city dwellers to use public transport in Helsinki.
The protesters are demonstrating against a government bill which would eliminate some national legal restrictions in favour of EU regulations.
The trucker demonstration will start at 7:30 am at the Vuosaari harbor and will stop in front of the Parliament building. The number of participants is not yet known.
The demonstration has been organised by at least the Rekkaprotesti.fi group.
