At least two people were killed and several others injured following a multi-vehicle collision in Hämeelinna, southern Finland, on Friday afternoon, local media reported.
Eight cars and one truck with 16 people were involved in the fatal collision, said the rescue department.
The injured were sent to hospital and none of them were in immediate danger of death, reported news agency STT.
An eyewitness told a Finnish language tabloid Iltalehti that the truck turned over and two cars on its side were crushed. Several other cars seemed to have been damaged.
The motorway's lanes towards north in Hämeelinna remained closed for several hours.
