The majority people are ready to accept some of the tightened conditions for availing unemployment benefits, found a survey commissioned by the commercial broadcaster MTV.

A quarter of the respondents said they would accept the tightened conditions, while 40 per cent would only accept the conditions in part.

On the other hand, a third of the respondents would not accept the conditions.

The responses to questions on work acceptance were evenly distributed among the respondents.

The government does not want job-seekers to refuse work even though the unemployment benefits would be greater than the salary, and would affect the expenses. Slightly more than half of the respondents approved the proposal in whole or partly, while 46 per cent of the respondents rejected the idea.

About 1,300 people were surveyed by Corefiner through online panel. The margin of error was +/-3.
