12,000 newly appointed military personnel join service

More than 12,000 army personnel who were recruited in the defence services will start their job, sources in the Defence Forces said.
About 10,000 will be enlisted in the army brigades, of which nearly 2,000 will be received by the Kainuu and Karelia brigades.
In addition, 250 new conscripts will begin their military career as border guards, while the rest will join the Navy and the Air Force.
Around 200 Swedish-speakers who are entering the service will be mainly enlisted in the Uusimaa Brigade.
