The Helsinki Court of Appeal has ruled that an adult entertainment performer cannot prevent the distribution of a film allegedly containing adult content.
A district court had previously prohibited the dissemination and presentation of the video by the company Oitis.com.
The Court of Appeal however pointed out that the performer had voluntarily signed the agreement in a contract that allowed for distribution of the material, thus overturning the earlier decision by the district court.
The woman actresses had argued that the parties had to agree later on the terms except during the auditioning and the materials were not to be released without a later agreement.
According to the appeal court the contract ought not to be interpreted against its contents and ordered the company to pay legal costs of nearly 10,000 euros.
