A young man has been handed a sentence of three years and 10 months of imprisonment for sexually abusing a girl.
The Helsinki District Court awarded the punishment to 18-year old Max Christian Malmberg, as allegations brought against him were proved beyond doubt.
The court also ordered the convict to pay 13,000 euros in compensation for aggravated rape charges and cause of pain and suffering to the victim.
Malmberg was accused of raping a 15-year old girl in September last year, when the two met and proceeded to the victim's father’s house, where the man strangled the teenage girl until she lost consciousness.
He later raped the victim repeatedly and even threatened to kill her by throwing her off the balcony from the high-rise apartment.
