Police said the man could have died as deep as 30 metres under water. His fellow divers pulled up the body to the surface.
Although the actual reason behind the death could be ascertained only after the autopsy report was out, police said chances were slim that it was caused by any criminal activity.
The old Kaatika quarry is popular among practicing divers where one can dive up to 50m under water. Two deaths have been previously reported at the quarry in 1993 and 2010.
