FTimes-STT Report, June 20

Three Estonian men were arrested in connection to a string of widespread thefts that occurred in 2012 and 2013.

The thieves targeted Prisma departmental stores in particular from where electronic items, especially i-pads, tablet computers and mobile phones were stolen.

More than 250 i-pads are reported to have been stolen. Some of the stolen products were delivered to an outlet that sells computer in the Estonian capital Tallinn.

The worth of the stolen goods is more than 250,000 euros. According to the police, thefts were carried out in Vaasa, Kerava, Varkaus, Espoo and Vantaa.

Preliminary investigation has already been completed in nine Prisma stores affected.

The investigation has been slowed down by the cross-border legal complexities.
