The Saturday night fire that ravaged a terraced house in Kerava is suspected to have been caused intentionally.
Two houses were badly damaged in the fire.
According to the chief fire fighter on duty, the family was inside the house in which the fire originated. The other houses were also occupied during the fire outbreak.
The police suspect the fire was started by the woman of the terraced house after a dispute in which she is also suspected of assaulting her child and husband. The woman is suspected to have fled after setting the house on fire.
The fire did not result in serious injuries. The police are continuing with the investigation and will give more information on Monday.
