The Labour Day proceedings will affect the opening hours of shops and public transport.
 
Shops may remain open on the eve of May Day until 6.00 pm. On May Day, however, many shops will remain closed. On the other hand, kiosks and service stations may remain open.
 
Alko will close its doors on the eve of May Day at 6.00 pm.
 
Banks will work normally on the eve of May Day but will be closed on May Day.
 
Post offices will be on service on the eve of May Day until 6.00 pm but will close their doors on May Day. Other companies who operate in connection with post offices have their own working hours.
 
Some long-distance and commuter trains will run on exceptional schedules on May Day. On the eve of May Day, trains will run on normal Thursday's timetable, while on May Day, the trains will largely operate on Sunday's timetable.
