FTimes – STT Report, Oct 24

The A-Clinic Foundation has opened this week a housing unit in Espoo for unaccompanied minor refugees.

The support housing unit is for people aged 16-17 years old, and the unit has 40 places.

The Kalliolan settlement is opening a living unit in Salo's Kisko at the beginning of November for refugees aged 16 to 17. The Salo housing unit also has room for 40.

The units will also organise recreational activities for young people, which are planned together by the employees and the young refugees living in the unit.

During workdays, lessons in the Finnish language will be held.

The operation is being carried out in cooperation with the Finnish Immigration Service.

The Immigration Service has also asked the A-Clinic Foundation to set up a youth residence unit in Kymenlaakso's Pyhtää.

The Foundation is trying to open the 30-bed unit as soon as possible.
