The police have refuted allegation of a rape incident which was rumoured to have taken place in Ylivieska on Boxing Day.
Police received information on rape suspicion which allegedly involved two dark skinned foreign men.
Based on the initial information and the description of the circumstances, an investigation on ag-gravated rape was launched.
The police investigation, however, revealed that neither rape nor any sexual offence had been committed.
The information given to the police was inaccurate.
