An elderly man who went for outdoor skiing at Lestijärvi, central Ostrobothnia on Monday evening remained missing till Tuesday.
The police and the rescue department are continuing with search efforts to find out the 60-year-old man who went skiing on a lake at around 4.00 pm on Monday.
The search was called off on Tuesday due to dark conditions but it will resume again today.
The search is being aided by a hydro-copter which can be navigated on lakes when the ice conditions are weak.
Divers have also been searching for the man near the place where he is presumed to have gone missing.
Weak ice conditions and a strong fog have also hampered the search efforts.
