Finland and Turkey will conduct an Open Skies observation flight over Russia this week, said the Defence Forces. The flight details have been described to the Russian authorities.
The flight will be made by a Turkish CASA CN-235 reconnaissance airplane. Turkey is leading the flight, with a four-member Finnish group joining in.
The Open Skies agreement is part of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) arms control programme which allows for observation flights above member countries.
