Three people were killed in two separate road accidents in Nakkila and Tammela on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police said that a man driving a car died in a four-car chain collision in the  morning in Nakkila along Highway 2.

According to the Southwest Finland police, three people, one of them critically were injured in the accident involving two passenger cars and two vans.

In another accident in Tammela, two people died, said the Häme police, adding that both of the victims were men in their 60s.

The accident took place when a passenger car and semi-trailer truck collided on Road 10 near the junction at Saarinlantila on Tuesday afternoon.

For unknown reasons, the passenger car veered into the oncoming lane and into the front of the semi-trailer truck.

The car driver and passenger were killed instantly. The truck driver was only slightly injured.
