A motorcycle rider who tried to escape from the police on Saturday lost control and collided with a civilian car, the police said.

The police were trying to stop the speeding motorcyclist twice at around 9.00am.

The motorcyclist sustained injuries in his right leg in the collision.

The police said they will give more information regarding the incident on Monday.
