The police are investigating a suspected rape offence committed at the city centre of Espoo on Sunday evening, said the police on Wednesday.
The suspected aggravated rape happened between Kirkkojärventie and Kylävainiontie road at around 10 pm.
The suspect who was described as about 30 years old, dark skinned and 180 centimetres tall also inflicted injuries on the victim using a sharp object.
The suspect who also spoke broken English was wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The police have appealed for witnesses for any clues.
