Anti-Muslim remarks made by some Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) members will be discussed the parliamentary group chairs of the ruling coalition components meet in August.

Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) Parliamentary Group Chairman Antti Kaikkonen said he will table the matter for discussion at the meeting.

Kaikkonen hopes it might at least trigger an internal debate among the Finns Party members on what is appropriate.

Anti-Islam comments from Finns Party leadership have already raised many eyebrows, especially those made by Sebastian Tynkkynen, the chief of the party’s youth front. In posts made on Facebook, he has called for, among other things, “eradication of Islam from Finland.”

Finns Party MP Teuvo Hakkarainen, too, almost echoed Tynkkynen by telling public through social media about his desire to get “Muslims out of the country.”

“It would be better if they prevented these racist brain farts,” said Kaikkonen with caustic sarcasm.

Meanwhile, Kokoomus MP Ben Zyskowicz accused Tynkkynen on Monday for inciting people against the Muslims and making racist propaganda.
