The departure of the media entourage was delayed in Helsinki in the morning as the Spanish manufactured Casa military transport aircraft experienced a technical fault. A second Casa aircraft which had been dispatched also manifested technical faults and the aircraft was left at the Visby airport.
The Air Force commander and the journalists, however, were flown back to Helsinki almost on time in a Swedish Air Force Hercules military transport aircraft.
