Hunting and RHD2 virus have reduced the rabbits' population in the parks of Helsinki, according to the City of Helsinki.
The number of rabbits has plummeted from last year.
During the autumn and winter a record number of 2,700 rabbits were hunted in the city’s parks and green fields.
In addition, a virus that struck in the spring has reduced the number of the rabbits.
In a survey, conducted in August, most rabbits were found in Ruskeasuo, Pitäjänmäki, Haaga and Munkkiniemi neighbourhoods.
