Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) Chair and Foreign Affair Minister Timo Soini on Saturday promised to reveal in spring whether he intends to seek a new term as the head of the party.
Soini made the remarks during the national broadcaster Yle’s morning programme Ykkösaamu interview.
According to a survey by the newspaper consortium Lännen Media, Soini’s support to continue as the party head has declined among the key party figures.
Soini pointed out that such questions are democratic and that “North Korean support figures” are not healthy year after year.
Soini assessed that he has done quite well in his task in the long run.
