Mon, 31 Oct, 2016 02:20:55 AM FTimes Report, Oct 31  File Photo AFP-Lehtikuva. President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis is scheduled to arrive in Helsinki on a two-day working visit to Finland on Tuesday, said an official press release.
President Sauli Niinistö will accord a reception to his visiting counterpart at the Presidential Pa-lace during the visit.
Among other matters, the presidents will discuss relations between Finland and Latvia, foreign and security policy and topical EU issues.
The security of the Baltic Sea region, Russia, the situation in Ukraine, the Syrian crisis, devel-opments in Turkey, refugee and migrant flows and energy security will also be among the matters to be discussed.
During his visit, Vējonis will also meet Finland’s Foreign Affairs Minister Timo Soini.
Latvia's previous president Andris Bērziņš made a state visit to Finland in January 2015. Presi-dent Niinistö made a state visit to Latvia in September 2013.
