A prosecutor in Helsinki on Monday called for the woman accused of planning mass shooting in a school to be imprisoned for three and a half years.

The woman is accused of preparing to cause harm to people’s lives or health as well as firearm and drug offences.

The prosecutor said the 21-year-old woman planned to carry out mass shooting between July 2014 and mid-September 2015.The target, according to the prosecutor, was the Kiviniitty school in Kokkola.

The suspect admitted harbouring fantasies but denied that she had already made decision to implement anything in the place of attack.

Two male accomplices are also suspected in the case. The woman tried to order weapons from the men, leading the prosecutor to call for unconditional imprisonment of one year and a half for the men.
