The authority on Monday imposed a ban on the sale of sub-standard Epinephrine auto-injectors simply known as adrenaline pen in the market and asked to withdraw the product from the market.
The specified product brand name is Jext and it was authorized under trading licence holder ALK-Abello.
The withdrawal of the product came into effect because some of the pen's needles were bent, therefore faulty as they did not release the adrenaline.
The Jext adrenaline pen is a prescription product and is used against allergic reactions like treatment for anaphylactic shock.
