The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) has revealed that there are significant deposits of copper and zinc resources waiting to be discovered in the country’s bedrock.
GTK has evaluated copper and zinc resources in three important deposit types in Finnish bedrock to a depth of one kilometre, said a release from GTK.
GTK has assessed the undiscovered metal resources in Finnish bedrock since 2008.
The evaluation includes volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS), porphyry copper, and Outokumpu types of mineral deposits.
