But in May, the inflation was 0.8 per cent, the data says.
In June, consumer prices were pushed up most from the year before by increases in rents, retail prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, as well as higher prices of health care and restaurant services.
Consumer prices went up by 0.1 per cent from May to June.
The rising of consumer prices was curbed most in June by fallen prices of clothes, meat, fruit, vegetables and entertainment electronics.
According to preliminary data on the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, inflation in the euro area remained at 0.5 per cent in June as it was in May.
The inflation for Finland calculated in the same manner was 1.1 per cent in June, according to the statistics.
