Building costs were 1.2 percentage points higher in July 2014 compared to that in July last year, thanks to the increasing prices of labour inputs, materials and other inputs.
According to the Statistics Finland, the prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 0.5 percentage points, materials by 1.6 percentage points and other inputs by 1.3 percentage points over the previous year.
Over the June to July period, the total index of building costs rose by 0.1 percentage points. The prices of labour inputs remained unchanged but of materials and other inputs went up by 0.2 percentage points.
