National flag carrier Finnair has announced that it has reached a cost-saving solution with the Finnish Cabin Crew Union (SLSY) related to the airline’s cost-saving programme.
In a release, Finnair said it will give further information on the proposal on Monday.
The proposal still needs the approval of SLSY and Finnair, said the airline.
Sirpa Paatero, the minister responsible for States Ownership Steering, welcomed the news.
In early September, Finnair announced that it had signed an agreement with the Norwegian crew management company OSM Aviation on outsourcing its cabin services.
The airline said OSM Aviation will provide cabin services for Finnair’s routes to Hong Kong and Singapore in the first phase.
