Nokia is preparing to make a return to the cell-phone market, its chief executive officer, Rajeev Suri, told the German newspaper Manager in an interview.
Suri said the company is currently looking for partners in this regard.
Nokia sold its mobile handset business to Microsoft in 2013. It was agreed during the deal that Nokia should not return to the phone market before the end of 2016 at the earliest.
Nokia has previously launched tablet computer in the Chinese market which was made by contract manufacturer Foxconn, reported the Finnish language business newspaper Kauppalehti.
