The Finnish Transport Safety Agency-Trafi is monitoring the recall campaign of Volkswagen due to emissions fraud.
If the corrections requested of the autos are not met, Trafi will add data to the vehicle registration mentioning the pending recall invitations. In this case, the uncorrected vehicle will fail periodic inspections.
Volkswagen’s emissions fraud affects 8.5 million diesel cars in 28 EU countries. Their recall campaign affects around 64,000 cars in Finland.

Promotions by Trafi will begin early next year and last at least one year.
Trafi has published the recall information on its website. Information on affected cars and their recalls campaigns are being added to the Trafi internet service from importers who have receive notifications from the manufacturers about recall dates.
