In the Helsinki metropolitan area, seven or eight new hotels will account for up to 900 new jobs.
The number of foreign customers is expected to grow, especially from Asia. However, domestic customers will form the basis for the new hotels.
According to the estimate, fast food chains will almost double the number of jobs available, up to 4,000.
Expanding chains such as Burger King, Subway and Espresso House are expected to bring the new jobs in.
Other restaurants are also sprouting up in rapid growth areas.
New shopping centres and theme parks are also popping up all over Finland. Conservatively, these alone will employ an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 people.
