The Prime Minister, Jyrki Katainen on Wednesday urged the Social Organizations to come forward with the common proposals regarding the working lives and extension of the retirement age. Although the recent move taken by the government and the Social organizations failed to reach to an agreement, the prime minister hoped that the issue would be settled down in future. Katainen said he believed that they would wait for the future compromise with the social organizations. The Chief Executive Officer of the Confederation of Finnish Industries, Jyri Häkämies, said that the Government should go by the line with the agreement taken place in the last spring. The CEO hinted that there is no possibility for reaching to an agreement before reviewing the upcoming budget. They should go through the national and European Budget and observe the use of fund before further compromise in this regard. Meanwhile, SAK chairman Lauri Lyly and STTK chairman Mikko Mäenpaa expressed the situation is completely a blockage even after multidimensional mechanism had taken to overcome the crisis. The finance minister, Jutta Urpilainen, however, hoped that there were still chance for the social organization to contribute the negotiation process. More News
