The staff of Serena evacuated the people from the park when the smoke was detected in the inner chamber at about 2.00pm, fire service and park sources said.
The Rescue Department estimated that there were about 1,500 people in the park at the time of the incident and 500 of the indoor clients were evacuated.
The Rescue Department rushed to the spot immediately and smothered it. The reason behind the smoke, however, remains unclear, as they did not find fire in the water park facilities.
