The Finnish Customs and the police have uncovered an amphetamine smuggling and drug trafficking organisation in Northern Finland.
A total of 1.3 kilogramme amphetamine was seized during the investigation.
The drug was smuggled into the country from Sweden.
The estimated value of the confiscated drugs is 50,000 euros and would have amounted to 10,000 doses.
Several people have been detained or remanded and the case is being investigated as aggravated drug offence.
Preliminary investigations have partly been completed and the case will move to consideration for charges to the Prosecutor’s Office of Lapland.
