Finland is going to take part in the NATO Crisis Management Exercise 2015 due on March 4 to 10, announced Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

The 7-day non-military training drills will be based on a fictitious scenario, in which a conflict erupts between two distance states. The scenario will result in humanitarian and maritime security consequences.

According to the ministry, as a partner country of NATO, Finland will take part in crisis management planning as well as national operation procedures and decision-making.

NATO's Crisis Management Exercise (CMX) is a regular decision-making and consultation exercise. This is the alliance's 19th CMX since 1992.

In addition to NATO member states, partner countries including Finland, Sweden, Australia, Japan and Ukraine will take part in this year's exercise.

Finland has joined the exercises for five times in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012 respectively.
