The number of cyber attacks against the army has multiplied in just a few years, reported the Finnish language daily Keskisuomalainen.
According to the newspaper, the Defence Forces detect two to 10 cyber threats in their networks in a year which, if successful, could seriously jeopardize the military information system.
According to the Defence Forces, among the groups behind the attacks are booth state actors and amateurs.
Mostly, the motives for such attacks are attempts to obtain information. A typical cyber attack is directed towards e-mails attempting to spread malware.
On Monday, the Defence Forces launched a five-day national cyber security exercise.
