One person was injured in an explosion at the Vihtavuori gun powder plant at Laukaa in central Finland on Monday.
The factory's local director Ilkka Heikkilä suffered some burns, but his condition is not critical.
The reason for the explosion in the plant was not clear on Monday. Heikkilä told STT that the police are investigating the matter. STT could not reach the police on Monday.
The Vihtavuori gun powder factory was transferred last year to the Norwegian company Nammo Group. In 2008, an acid tank explosion rocked the factory, but no one was injured.
In 2013, there was an incident in the factory area where a container began to heat up in the factory's yard. Due to the risk of explosion, people were evacuated from a large area around the plant.
