District Prosecutor Jukka Haavisto suspected three police officers of Helsinki Drug unit police for their involvement in a case related to escape of a prisoner from the jail.
The officers are suspected of concealing the prisoner's escape by making erroneous entry in the po-lice records.
According to national broadcaster Yle, the prisoner escaped when he was visiting relatives in the spring of 2013.
The preliminary investigation is completed and the case will move to consideration of charges.
The incident, however, is not related to suspicions surrounding the cases of former head of Helsinki drug police unit Jari Aarnio.
