A number of state agencies’ online services on Tuesday experienced disruptions following a denial of service attack.
The interference slowed down and interrupted online services of authorities such as the Regional State Administrative Agencies, Ely Centres, Finnvera and Tekes.
The Government ICT Centre Valtori on Tuesday afternoon said the problems were almost completely eliminated.
“Harmful traffic has been filtered out, now the actual problem is under control,” said Tero Latvakangas, head of Telecommunications and Operating Services at Valtori.
The cause of the service of denial attack will be investigated, Latvakangas said.
Still on Wednesday it was not clear who was behind the attack. The denial of service attack was detected on Monday evening.
