A 3-year-old girl who had been missing from Turenki in Janakkala was found dead on Sunday.
Searchers from the rescue department found her body in a river on Sunday afternoon.
The Häme police do not suspect any foul play and are continuing investigations into the death.
The police were informed about the girl who went missing from her family’s home yard at about 9:40am on Sunday. The girl was found a kilometre away in the Hiidenjoki at 3:30pm.
The search group was comprised of a helicopter, several police patrols, dogs, people from the rescue department and over a hundred volunteers.
Some of the volunteers heard about the missing girl from the news media and joined in the search efforts.
