The chair of the Vasemmistoliitto (Left Alliance), Li Andersson has criticised the decision made by Immigration Service in May which stated that asylum seekers may be returned to Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia.
The chances of receiving protection in these countries in the future have significantly reduced.
Andersson has called for the review of the refugee policy of the country.
Andersson said, according to a number of internal comparisons, Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia are among the world’s most dangerous countries.
“However, after the country-specific review on May-June, the Immigration Service has issued three times more negative asylum decisions than positive,” Andersson said in the statement.
