Gardening tools manufacturer Fiskars is planning to lay off up to 107 employees from the Billnäs factory in Raasepori.

Fiskars is concentrating on manufacturing garden tools at its factory in Poland.

The Billnäs plant focuses on the manufacture of scissors, axes and snow tools.

The reductions will be phased over this year and next.

According to the company, the reduction will take place through pension arrangements.

Fiskars announced in March the beginning of codetermination negotiations which could cut 107 jobs.

The company has been manufacturing garden tools both in Billnäs and Poland. Fiskars reported in March the centralisation of garden tool production in Poland to further improve competitiveness and to simplify the supply chain.
