The number increases to one in four for families with children. Yet the survey showed that more than half, or 55 percent, of Finns feel they are well in control of their own finances.
Respondents aged 55-65 felt most in control of their own finances, with two-thirds confident of their situation. Less than half of 26-39 year olds say their economic situation is under control.
“Approximately one-sixth of respondents were kept awake at night due to finances more than once a month, and one in ten have received a payment reminder invoice at least once in the past six months,” said Nordea personal economist Olli Kärkkäinen.
“The problems facing young people and families with children have increased over the past two years, Kärkkäinen added.
