The premier made the remarks during his first YLE’s Prime Minister’s Interview Hour on Sunday.
Stubb did not divulge the sum in question. The government is scheduled to evaluate the figure in the next week’s budget session whether industries would need special support from the state.
The prime minster said there are continuous discussions at the European Union level about how the sanction-hit industries should be supported.
The EU Commission, according to Stubb, did not prioritise with respect to EU countries hit by the crisis when it decided to support fruit and vegetable farmers.
Next compensation may be directed towards the Baltic dairy sector, reckons Stubb.
