“Concern is the right word; fear is too strong,” he said.
 
According to Pakarinen, there are not many people in the streets. But grocery shopping is still done.
 
“It’s not comfortable to walk around in those places the authorities have urged us to avoid,” said Pakarinen.
 
The Belgian police arrested 16 people in a major raid this evening. There were 19 apartments searched in the operation. However, according to the public prosecutor’s office, no weapons or explosives were found.
 
The threat assessment level in Brussels has remained at the highest since the end of the operations. No information on any new missions has been given.
 
“You can hear a police siren a little too often. It’s easy to become anxious,” Pakarinen added.
